And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Julian Hopson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#TD2# Hopson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Willy (0) vs (2) Hopson Hopson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hopson prevents Willy from improving his position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Willy trying to control here.

Willy is looking to improve his position but Hopson isn't that keen on the idea. Hopson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Willy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Willy tries to lock up and control but Hopson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hopson fails to take his opponent's back. Hopson controlling his opponent. #T11# Willy is in all sorts of trouble here.

Score +3 for taking back: Willy (0) vs (8) Hopson#T12# Hopson has good solid back control here. Well,Willy is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes? Willy tries to roll but Hopson sticks to his back.

#T13##SUB2# Hopson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Willy has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Willy is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hopson.
Hopson has the hooks in. Willy is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. #T14# Willy is working hard here to advance position. Hopson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Willy's body.
Willy manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hopson's guard. Nice work there by Willy.

Score +3 for passing guard: Willy (5) vs (8) Hopson Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#SUB# Willy tries for a kimura but Hopson is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hopson can do anything to dispel that myth. Hopson is trying to get back to half guard.

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Willy tries to clinch there but Walters circles away.
Walters tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Willy manages to circle out of the way.#CL2# Willy forces Walters back against the cage and clinches.#TD# Walters drags the fight down to the ground.
Walters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#SUB# Walters looking for a guillotine here but Willy defends easily.

Score +3 for passing guard: Walters (0) vs (3) Willy Willy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walters keeps working. Walters is looking for a sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walters prevents Willy from moving into mount. #SUB2# Willy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Walters , who protects the arm well. Walters is not content to let Willy control the position. #T1# Willy controlling from side mount. #SUB2# Willy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walters is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB2# Willy is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Walters looks calm but he's in trouble here. Willy gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Walters is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Willy lets go of the hold and Walters can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Willy lands a really nice looking cross but Fredrich seems unphased.
Willy misses with a left hand #TD# so Fredrich counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fredrich trying to control the position from guard on top but Willy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fredrich scoring with punches to the head and body. Fredrich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fredrich is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Fredrich working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Willy wants to sweep but no luck. Fredrich makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Fredrich is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.#T1# Fredrich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Willy throws the left hand but Fredrich avoids the punch easily. Willy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Fredrich tried to counter with a leg kick but Willy avoided it. Willy throws a combination that misses #TD# and Fredrich counters with a takedown into side control. Willy looking for a sweep but Fredrich has passed into full mount! Oh no! Fredrich landing strikes, looking to finish! The referee warns Willy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fredrich lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

#R1# Durst looks for a takedown but Willy sprawls well. Willy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Durst momentarily.
Willy lands a slapping body shot.
Jab, jab by Willy - just one landing. Durst shoots in for a takedown but Willy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Willy misses with a few strikes there.
Willy stuns Durst with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sloppy strikes from Willy. Those never looked like landing. Willy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Durst fails in his attempt to clinch. Willy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Willy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Durst. Chilly Willy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Durst walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Willy moves into range and connects with a jab. Willy scores with a decent looking hook.#T1# Durst showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Willy.

Durst eats them both and turns towards Willy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#CUT2#It looks like Alan Durst has been cut.#TD2# Durst gets caught napping as Willy dives in and scores a takedown. Durst manages to retain guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Durst working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Willy. And that is the end of the round. Willy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Willy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Willy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Willy tests Durst's chin there with a solid looking shot. Durst takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Willy checks a leg kick nicely. Willy thuds a left hand into Durst's body. Willy scores with a punch to the head. Durst tries to clinch but Willy is having none of it. Willy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Durst shoots in looking for a takedown. Willy tries to sprawl out of it but Durst keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Chilly Willy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Willy lands with a nice combination. Durst backs away looking to recover.#T2# Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Durst misses with a body shot.

#REVR# Durst seems a little lost for a moment, as Willy dominates the positioning. Willy tries to score with some ground and pound. Durst controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Willy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Durst prevents Willy from improving position. Durst is positioning himself to get back to half guard. #T3# Willy takes a little break here. Durst wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Willy trying to control the action but Durst is working from the bottom. Durst is trying to get back to half guard. Durst gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Willy wants to free his trapped foot but Durst is holding on for dear life with his legs. #T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#SUB2# Willy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Durst is just riding it out for now. Willy eventually gives up the hold. Durst is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Willy missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Willy slows the pace down in half guard. Durst's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!#R3# Durst is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Willy. Willy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Willy scores with a hook to the body. Durst takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Willy sizes up Durst with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Willy works Durst's body with a nice hook.#CL2# Willy pushes Durst up against the cage in a clinch. Durst with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Durst looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Willy lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Durst. A right hook to the body lands for Willy.

#R1# Willy cracks Reagan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Willy connects with a single shot there. Willy looks to land a combination. Reagan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Willy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reagan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Willy!

Reagan throws a wild body kick that Willy sees coming a mile off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Willy fails to land with a series of punches.
Reagan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Willy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reagan swivels and escapes. Willy moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A combination from Reagan does no damage. Willy cracks Reagan with a good jab. Reagan stuffs the takedown attempt from Willy. Willy gets slowly back to his feet. Willy doesn't manage to clinch there - Reagan circles away.

Left hook, right uppercut from Willy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Willy connects with the punch. Reagan throws a sloppy head kick and Willy moves out of range easily. Reagan is breathing heavily. Reagan is looking to clinch. Willy scores with a decent looking hook. Willy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Reagan misses with a body kick. Willy lands with an uppercut that bounces Reagan off the cage and back into range. Willy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willy.#T3# A lazy left from Willy finds it's target. Reagan walks into a stiff left hand from Willy. Willy works over Reagan's head and body with a nice combination. Willy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Willy duly obliges. Reagan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Willy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Reagan. Reagan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Reagan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Willy is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Reagan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Reagan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Willy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Reagan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A cross from Willy lands.#T4# The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters circle momentarily. Willy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Willy might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Sloppy strikes from Willy. Those never looked like landing. Danga de danga de dang - Willy scores with a four punch combination! Willy connects with a looping right hand.

Willy lands a jab to Reagan's midsection. Willy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Willy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Reagan. Reagan circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Reagan throws a head kick but Willy moves out of range.
Willy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Willy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Willy lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Reagan looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. The fight stays on the outside here - Reagan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Chilly Willy dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!#R2# Willy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Chilly Willy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Willy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Reagan seems to have got his legs back now. Willy can't find room to land a body shot as Reagan controls the action.
Willy tries to stall but Reagan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Willy tries to work over Reagan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. #BC2# Willy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Willy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Willy. Reagan shoots for a takedown but Willy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut lands for Willy. That snapped Reagan's head back.
Willy feints a jab promting Reagan to slip. Willy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Reagan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Willy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Reagan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Willy swivels and escapes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#T1# Reagan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Willy to score with a decent uppercut. Willy scores with a one two! Reagan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Reagan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Willy lands a two punch combo.
#TD# Reagan shoots in and bounces Willy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Willy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Willy is pulling down on Reagan's head to control his posture. #SUB2# Willy looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Reagan is defending well. Willy quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Reagan has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Willy celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
