OP is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Salazar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
OP has a takedown stuffed. It looked like Salazar wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.#CL2# OP has closed the distance and engaged Salazar in a clinch.

OP darts in looking for a takedown but Salazar gets double underhooks and turns OP into the cage. OP tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salazar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten OP somewhat. Salazar attempts a counter takedown but OP avoids it well and moves away. Justin Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. #R1# OP swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
OP shoots in but doesn't get the takedown #TD# and Do Souza counters with a nice double leg into guard. Do Souza might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Do Souza slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Do Souza's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Do Souza is pushing down on OP's leg trying to pass to half guard. OP is fighting to maintain full guard but Do Souza has managed to sneak the leg through. OP manages to get to full guard.
OP can't keep his opponent in guard - Do Souza advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. OP is trying to maintain the position but Do Souza is very close to passing his half guard.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. OP taking some punishment here, with Do Souza in his half guard. #SU# Do Souza postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for OP to stand up. OP tries to land a body kick#TD# and Do Souza counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Do Souza. OP manages to escape and get back to his feet.

OP sprawls well initially but Valero persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Valero wants to pass to mount but OP is defending the position. Valero is working hard here to advance position.#SUB# Valero is sneakily working for an arm triangle but OP sees it coming and defends easily. Valero trying to pass the guard but OP defending well. OP wants to control but Valero is keeping busy.

Bat is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. #SU2# Bat gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Bat with a poor takedown and OP counters with a left and a right that stings Bat. Bat blocks a head kick by OP.

Bat is pulling down on OP's head. It's preventing any offense from OP, at least for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
