#R1# Bingwen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Drago blocks the body kick.
Nice body punch from Bingwen. Bingwen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bingwen wants it to stay on the feet. Bingwen throws a body kick that misses #TD# and Drago counters with a nice double leg into guard. Drago with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Drago will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB2# Bingwen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drago doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drago manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# Bingwen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Drago doesn't defend quickly enough and Bingwen has managed to lock this one up! Can Drago escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bingwen on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jiao Long Bingwen! During a confident post fight interview, Jiao Long Bingwen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. |
