Cert Retsyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Retsyn misses and Bingwen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bingwen tries a head kick but it misses.

Retsyn with a lazy takedown attempt letting Bingwen counter with a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Retsyn moves in looking to clinch but Bingwen pushes him off. A relieved looking Jiao Long Bingwen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Cert Retsyn spoke after the fight, saying '"Ladies and gentlemen, I want to start by giving my opponent all the credit. They put up a great fight tonight and deserved to come out on top.

#R1##TD# Retsyn throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hoof tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Retsyn is in Hoof's guard. Retsyn trying to control but Hoof is working from the bottom. Retsyn being controlled here momentarily. Hoof looking to hit a scissor sweep but Retsyn is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Retsyn wants to control from the top but Hoof keeps moving. Retsyn preventing the sweep. #T1# Hoof is pulling down on Retsyn's head to control his posture. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoof enables Retsyn to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoof manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Retsyn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hoof trying to control the position here. Retsyn is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoof has wrist control.#T2# Retsyn wants to control from the top but Hoof keeps moving. Retsyn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hoof really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Retsyn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hoof wants to sweep but no luck. Hoof is pulling down on Retsyn's head to control his posture. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoof lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Retsyn didn't expect that. #T3# Hoof slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Retsyn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hoof wants to pass the guard but Retsyn is keeping the position.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Retsyn being controlled here, momentarily. Retsyn keeping full guard, as Hoof tries to pass. Hoof slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hoof is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Retsyn will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Retsyn is not in a great position here, taking some shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cert Retsyn will probably get the nod. That's time! Ryal Hoof showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Hoof was covering up waiting for the punch and Retsyn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hoof looking to hit a scissor sweep but Retsyn is one step ahead there. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hoof tries to free his leg and advance position but Retsyn is retaining full guard. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Retsyn stuns Hoof with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.#TD# Retsyn looking to score a takedown here. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cert Retsyn. I think Retsyn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
