Matter gets a clinch.
Matter's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Matter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Matter wants to take the fight to the mat but Sanders manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Matter tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sanders's elbow.
Matter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sanders.
Matter tries to pull guard but Sanders forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Matter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bob Sanders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grey Matter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
