#R1# Uoston with a lazy takedown attempt and Thompson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Thompson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Uoston on the side of the head. Uoston gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thompson.#ROC#Uoston is rocked! Uoston tries to clinch but Thompson moves out of range. Uoston is still on wobbly legs! Can Thompson finish him? Uoston gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Thompson gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Thompson! David Thompson gave a mention to Island clothing lite in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales). |

#R1# Uoston fails to land the takedown. Uoston takes a shot right to the bread basket. Aya connects with a jab. Aya throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Uoston's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Aya dives in looking to finish as Uoston flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Aya's strikes! Aya is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Uoston's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Uoston was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

#R1##TD2# Uoston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Simpmaev is looking to get back to is feet but Uoston passes into side control.
#SUB2# Uoston is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Simpmaev is trying to escape and Uoston transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Simpmaev is forced to tap! Nice work there by Uoston! Very nice indeed!

#R1# Uoston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dawson pinned against the cage. Dawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. #CL# Dawson has managed to clinch.
Dawson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Dawson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Dawson tries to work over Uoston's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Uoston trying to control the position but instead, Dawson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Uoston into the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Dawson. Uoston tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Uoston is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dawson is defending well. Jack Dawson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Uoston. Uoston is trying to maintain a safe position but Dawson gets an underhook and turns Uoston into the cage. A short body shot lands from Dawson as the two fighters clinch.

Dawson pushes Uoston back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.#ROC#Uoston is rocked! Dawson creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Uoston with a big uppercut! Uoston tries to clinch up but Dawson pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Uoston to the mat! Uoston covers up and Dawson unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Uoston drops his hands momentarily and Carpentieri takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Uoston tries for a takedown but Carpentieri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Carpentieri connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Carpentieri cracks Uoston on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Uoston falls backwards against the cage. Carpentieri follows up with more strikes that drop Uoston to his knees. Carpentieri keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Uoston! This one is all over!

#R1# Oneil misses with a series of wild punches.
Uoston fails with the takedown and Oneil counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Oneil goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Uoston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oneil sprawls well. Oneil wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Uoston gets slowly back to his feet. Uoston avoids a punch combination nicely.

Uoston wants to pass the guard but Oneil is keeping the position.#T1# Oneil keeping moving, preventing Uoston from controlling successfully. Oneil keeping full guard, as Uoston tries to pass. Uoston passes easily into side control. Nice work. Uoston works to advance to full mount. Oneil defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. #SUB2# Uoston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Oneil can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Uoston moves to the back position. #SUB2# Uoston is working for a rear naked choke. Oneil is not defending it well and Uoston has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Oneil refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Oneil's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
