#R1# Chatman shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherrill sprawls well. He's pushed Chatman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A jab from Chatman misses. Sherrill swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sherrill slips a jab from Chatman. Chatman takes a swing at Sherrill's ribcage but misses. Sherrill steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Chatman. Chatman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sherrill but Sherrill pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sherrill throws a lazy right hand but Chatman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chatman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chatman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sherrill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ellis Chatman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chatman takes one to the side of the head.

#CL# Sherrill tries to keep at a distance but Chatman has taken the fight into the clinch. Sherrill is trying to push Chatman away but Chatman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#T1# Sherrill misses with a short punch on the inside. #TD# Chatman decides to pull guard. Sherrill controlling from the top position. Sherrill wants to stand but Chatman is controlling his posture from full guard. Sherrill is looking to work some ground and pound but Chatman has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sherrill accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sherrill wants to control from the top but Chatman keeps moving. Chatman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sherrill looking to pass the guard. Sherrill is pushing down on Chatman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chatman is fighting to maintain full guard but Sherrill has managed to sneak the leg through. Sherrill wants to get back to his feet.
Sherrill lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Sherrill prevents Chatman from improving his position. Sherrill seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #T3##SUB2# Chatman is defending against the submission attempts here by Sherrill.
Chatman wants to get back to full guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sherrill connects with a nice short shot to Chatman's temple. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chatman is trying to control but can't.
Chatman is looking for a sweep. Sherrill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.#T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sherrill wants to free his trapped foot but Chatman is holding on for dear life with his legs. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.#TD# Chatman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sherrill tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chatman is in Sherrill's guard. Chatman postures up.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shawn Sherrill will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!#R2# Chatman dives in and grabs Sherrill's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sherrill pushes down on Chatman's head and hops out.#TD# Chatman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sherrill is trying to control the position but Chatman postures up. #SUB2# Chatman is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sherrill has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Chatman is looking to defend but Sherrill has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Chatman! Sherrill pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Chatman taps out and this one is all over!
