#R1# Sherrill fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sherrill shoots for a double leg takedown but Pixley sprawls well. He's pushed Sherrill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And Pixley tries to counter it with a takedown but Sherrill pushes his down on his head and steps out. Pixley throws a right and a left that Sherrill avoids nicely. Sherrill waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pixley. Sherrill with a lazy takedown attempt #TD2# and Pixley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sherrill won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Sherrill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sherrill is looking for a sweep.#SUB2# Pixley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sherrill has escaped the position, nice work there. Pixley works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sherrill is looking for a sweep. Sherrill is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sherrill is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pixley in particular looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sherrill wants to improve his position but Pixley is controlling well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pixley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pixley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pixley is continuing to stall.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Ricki Pixley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#T2# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pixley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sherrill avoids it really well and circles away. Pixley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pixley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Pixley postures up.

Pixley controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Pixley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pixley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sherrill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sherrill is letting Pixley control him for a moment. #TD2# Pixley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sherrill is trying to maintain the position but Pixley is very close to passing his half guard. Sherrill wants to improve his position but Pixley is controlling well.

Sherrill is looking to improve his position but Pixley isn't that keen on the idea. Pixley punishing his opponent with strikes. Sherrill is trying desperately to improve position. Sherrill tries to hold on but Pixley pushes him away. Pixley controlling the pace for now. Shawn Sherrill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!#T2# Let's hope that Pixley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. #SUB2# Pixley is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sherrill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sherrill shrugs it off. Pixley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. #T4# We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Pixley. Pixley throws some wild stikes that Sherrill manages to avoid easily.
Ricki Pixley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pixley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sherrill because Pixley loaded up on that one. Pixley looking to control and managing it successfully. Pixley with shots to the head and body - Sherrill looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pixley controlling the position easily from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricki Pixley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pixley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# Chatman shoots for a double leg takedown but Sherrill sprawls well. He's pushed Chatman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A jab from Chatman misses. Sherrill swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sherrill slips a jab from Chatman. Chatman takes a swing at Sherrill's ribcage but misses. Sherrill steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Chatman. Chatman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sherrill but Sherrill pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sherrill throws a lazy right hand but Chatman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chatman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chatman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sherrill sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ellis Chatman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chatman takes one to the side of the head.

#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sherrill looking to pass the guard. Sherrill is pushing down on Chatman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chatman is fighting to maintain full guard but Sherrill has managed to sneak the leg through. Sherrill wants to get back to his feet.
