Dylan Batt had a terrible time trying to make weight. After initially coming in at 185.8, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Carlos De Gracia was cancelled. |

Batt is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fox pulls him back up using the underhooks. Batt wants a takedown but no success here.

Fox no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fox is trying to control the position but Batt postures up. Batt wants to control from the top but Fox keeps moving. #T4# Fox thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Fox is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Batt tries to free his leg and advance position but Fox is retaining full guard. Batt controls from within his opponent's guard. Batt working some strikes from top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fox keeping full guard, as Batt tries to pass. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nik Fox dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.#R2# A shot to the liver by Batt. Beautiful body shot. Batt throws a series of punches but Fox moves out of range. Batt tries to clinch up but Fox circles away and keeps his distance. Batt tries to clinch up. Sloppy strikes from Fox. Those never looked like landing. Fox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Fox looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.#SUB2# Batt is working to tighten his grip on Fox's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fox has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Batt is really squeezing tight and eventually Fox passes out! Batt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dylan Batt! Dylan Batt spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |
