With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pletnev creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Pletnev working aggressively here.
Armenian is trying to pull guard but Pletnev turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Pletnev struggles to land a body shot inside as Armenian controls his hands.

Armenian stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schmeichel. Schmeichel throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Schmeichel lands a leg kick that knocks Armenian off balance momentarily. Some wild striking there from Armenian.
Schmeichel will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

#R1# Armenian throws a right and a left that Schmeichel avoids nicely. Schmeichel throws a leg kick which misses Armenian's front leg but catches the back leg as Armenian tries to avoid it. Schmeichel scores with a kick to the body.
Schmeichel stuffs the takedown. Schmeichel throws a nice outside leg kick. Armenian looks to score with a jab to the body but Schmeichel is just out of range. Bjarne Schmeichel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# Armenian shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schmeichel's guard.#SUB# Schmeichel has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Armenian should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Schmeichel has tightened it up now! Tikhonov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Tikhonov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Armenian throws a head kick that misses. Tikhonov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Armenian takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tikhonov cracks Armenian with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Armenian fails with the takedown. Tikhonov swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.#CL2# Armenian moves into the clinch. Armenian jumps guard but Tikhonov stands there with Armenian around his waist. Armenian gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Armenian might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Armenian tries to free his leg and advance position but Jassim is retaining full guard. Jassim wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Jassim wants to sweep here but Armenian controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jassim has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
