#R1##TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Fff. Joe throws Fff to one side and escapes! Fff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fff misses with a body shot.
Joe closes the distance and clinches up with Fff, looking for a takedown. Joe pushes Fff against the cage but Fff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#CL# Joe has Fff up against the cage in a clinch.
#TD# Joe decides to pull guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Joe wants to stand and escape but Fff is having none of it. #SUB# Joe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. #SUB2# Fff drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fff jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fff sitting in guard here, content to control. #T1# Joe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fff is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe is trying to control the position but Fff postures up. Fff has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Joe is proving hard to escape from. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Joe wants to improve his position but instead Fff has moved into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
#T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Joe trying to control from the bottom.
Fff keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Joe trying to hold on to Fff's head to control him but Fff postures up.
#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fff throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.#CL2# Fff moves into the clinch. Fff is trying to pull guard but Joe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.#BC2# Fff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#TD2# Fff shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Joe's guard. Joe wants to hit a sweep here but Fff passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Joe there! Fff controlling from mount. Joe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.#T3# Joe wants to hold on but Fff pushes him away. Joe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fff wants to get back to his feet but Joe is holding on tight.
Joe is trying desperately to improve position.#T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Joe is squirming around, avoiding Fff's attempts to control the action. Fff takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fff trying to control but Joe is having none of it. Joe is trying to reverse the position but instead Fff has taken his back - oops! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joe tries to escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aaa Fff dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!#R2# Joe misses the shot to the body. Fff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Fff enables Joe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fff manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fff pulls Joe in to control the position. Joe trying to control the position from guard on top but Fff is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fff is on top in guard.
#REVB# Fff trying to control the position from guard on top but Joe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fff stopping the sweep attempt from Joe.#T1# Joe is pulling down on Fff's head. It's preventing any offense from Fff, at least for the moment. Fff works over Joe with some ground and pound from guard. Fff preventing the sweep. Fff cracks Joe with a solid left hand. Fff content to stall in guard here. #SUB# Joe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fff has picked Joe up and slammed him! Joe can't keep hold of the triangle and Fff manages to pass to side control! Fff trying to control the position but Joe is working away. #T2# Fff moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Fff has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Joe struggling a bit here. Fff tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. #SUB2# Joe wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Fff has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Joe's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Joe is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Fff!
