Bowen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Molly!
Bowen content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1#
Let's hope that Bowen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bowen lands a decent elbow from side control.
Bowen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. #SU2#

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bowen thows a leg kick but Molly checks it
and Molly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Molly misses with an uppercut. Bowen saw that one coming.
Bowen misses with a double jab.
Molly lands with a right that hurts Bowen. Bowen looks to clinch but Molly throws a short knee that drops Bowen. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Rollin Molly!
In his post fight interview, Rollin Molly started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |

The crowd cheers as Pops lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bowen doesn't seem phased though.
Bowen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pops.
Bowen misses with an uppercut. Pops saw that one coming.
Pops looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Sloppy strikes from Pops. Those never looked like landing.
Pops throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bowen on the side of the head.
Bowen walks straight into a right hand from Pops - that's dropped him! Pops jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bowen from any more punishment! Bowen complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Uncle Pops!
A less than humble Uncle Pops misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. |
