Orfeu no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Orfeu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Wayne tries to roll over but Orfeu keeps him under control. Wayne is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wayne avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Orfeu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Horrible takedown attempt by Wayne or perhaps it was just good defense by Orfeu, which made it look bad. Irineu Orfeu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Orfeu throws a good cross that connects.

Badder effectively controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee is keeping an eye on Badder - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Badder seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.#T1# The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mark Badder.#CL# Badder rushes Wayne and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Ryan Gordon! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Wayne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.#TD2# Gordon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wayne quickly recovers to half guard. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! A lull in the action here.#SUB2# Wayne working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bateman is trying to get back to half guard. Wayne moves into full mount! Wayne takes Bateman's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Bateman is in trouble. Bateman refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Bateman's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
