As Thompson backs off Kha throws a huge counter combo but Thompson manages to avoid it all. Horrible takedown attempt by Thompson or perhaps it was just good defense by Kha, which made it look bad. #CL# Thompson moves into the clinch.#TD# Thompson pulls guard effortlessly. Kha postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kha pushing down on Thompson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kha prevents Thompson from improving his position. Thompson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kha on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Kha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Thompson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kha. Kha passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Thompson! #T1# Thompson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Thompson working to try and regain half guard.

Thompson tries to get back to half guard but can't. #SUB2# Kha is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Thompson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Thompson wants to control but Kha is having none of it. Kha has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.#SUB2# Kha is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Thompson is forced to tap! Great finish!

After the fight, Un Kha was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
