#R1# Sloppy strikes from Toal. Those never looked like landing. Toal looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Daicos shoots in for a takedown but Toal shows good takedown defense. #TD# Daicos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Toal napping and manages to drive through into side control!#SUB# Daicos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toal is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Daicos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toal keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Toal felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.#T1##SUB# Daicos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Daicos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Daicos trying to control the action but Toal is working from the bottom. Toal is pushing Daicos's head away, looking to escape. Daicos manages to hold on to the position though. Daicos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toal keeps working. Daicos has knee on belly and moves into mount. Daicos tries to control but Toal wriggling away. You get the feeling that Toal really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Daicos looking to control but Toal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. #T2##SUB# Toal is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Daicos locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Toal is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Will Daicos! |
