And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ali! But no joy.
Tyson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ali manages to avoid it.
Tyson throws a big shot that misses.
Tyson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ali counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mike Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Ali counters with a big uppercut that drops Tyson face first to the mat! Will he beat the count?! He's struggled up to his knees on 7 but it doesn't look like he's going to make it... he's been counted out! This fight is all over!

As Muhammad Ali got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Float like a Cadillac, Sting like a Beamer !'. |

Tyson misses with an uppercut. Frazier saw that one coming.
Tyson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tyson throws a right and a left that Frazier avoids nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Frazier on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Frazier lands with an uppercut that bounces Tyson off the ropes and back into range.
Tyson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sloppy strikes from Frazier. Those never looked like landing.
Frazier lands a lovely overhand right.
Tyson throws a lazy right hand but Frazier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A combination from Frazier does no damage.
Tyson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. #CUT2#It looks like Joe Frazier has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

OH! Frazier has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Tyson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Tyson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Frazier sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Joe Frazier spoke after the fight, saying 'I gave it my all in there tonight, but unfortunately, it didn't go my way. My opponent was tough and brought their A-game.
