Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Menendez was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown. Menendez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Brown shoots in for a takedown but Menendez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Menendez has a takedown stuffed. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Menendez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Menendez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Brown stuffs the takedown. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brown has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD2# Brown changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ruvik looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ruvik is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brown's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Ruvik is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brown's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brown's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruvik controls the action.#T1# Ruvik somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Ruvik controls the action. Brown is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
#T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. What can Brown do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
#T3# Ruvik has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ruvik throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Brown is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ruvik.

That was a close second round but I would say that Izi Ruvik will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ruvik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Messier throws a series of punches but Brown moves out of range. Brown showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Messier.
Brown takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.#CUT#It looks like Bobby Brown has been cut. Messier misses with an uppercut. Messier with a nice cross. Brown has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.#KD# Nice combo by Messier! Oh, that's hurt him - Brown falls to the canvas and Messier follows him into side control. #ROC#Brown is rocked!
