#CL# Valentine tries to keep at a distance but James has taken the fight into the clinch. James gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Valentine.
#TD# James works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Valentine wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and James manages to pass to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#REVB# Well, if James is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
#T1# Valentine is in trouble now - James has advanced to mount! James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# James is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Valentine is surviving well by controlling James's body position as best he can. Valentine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. James content just to control the position here. James seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Valentine for as long as he can get away with. You get the feeling that Valentine really doesn't like being in this position too much.

James fires out a quick counter leg kick but Valentine just manages to avoid it. Valentine tries to clinch but James is having none of it. Valentine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valentine wants to control but James postures up.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. #R1# Valentine throws a body shot but no joy. Harris takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Valentine.#TD2# Valentine gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harris to score an easy takedown into full guard. Valentine looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valentine keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valentine working a defensive guard here.
Harris wants to control from the top but Valentine keeps moving. #T1# Valentine can't keep his opponent in guard - Harris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #SUB2# Harris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valentine is just riding it out for now. Harris eventually gives up the hold. Valentine wants to get back to his feet. Valentine is trying to control but Harris manages to pass to mount!
