Spopovich tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Spopovich tries to clinch up but Dragan circles away and keeps his distance. Spopovich moves in looking to clinch but Dragan pushes him off. We've been told by Dragan's head coaches at Julians Sports Bar & Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Spopovich is looking to clinch but Dragan is avoiding it.
A little feinted left hand from Dragan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Dragan loads up on a big right hand but Spopovich slips the punch. Dragan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spopovich fails in his attempt to clinch. Spopovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Spopovich's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Dragan throws a body shot but no joy. Dragan clobbers Spopovich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Dragan engages and cracks Spopovich with a massive lead left hook - Spopovich tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Dragan is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
