#R1# Rodriguez has his takedown stuffed#TD# and Orlav decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodriguez's guard.#SUB2# Rodriguez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Orlav passes into side control.
Orlav controls the position. Rodriguez wants to control but Orlav postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orlav happy to just control the position for now. #T1##SUB# Orlav is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodriguez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rodriguez is looking for a sweep. Orlav gets to mount! Rodriguez was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Rodriguez tries to hold on but Orlav postures up.#T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rodriguez is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Orlav is staying active. Rodriguez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Rodriguez trying to control the position from guard on top but Orlav is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Orlav wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rodriguez is now in half guard. Orlav is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Orlav trying to control here.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.#T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rodriguez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Orlav does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rodriguez fails with a takedown attempt. Orlav attempts a counter takedown but Rodriguez avoids it well and moves away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Orlav looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rodriguez is fending him off so far but Orlav persists. Nope, Rodriguez circles away and we're back to standing. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rodriguez. Orlav seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Orlav slows the pace down in half guard. Rodriguez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rodriguez. Rodriguez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rodriguez looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Orlav puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Orlav tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rodriguez. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodriguez is looking to improve his position.
Orlav is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rodriguez can do to turn this around? We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown but Orlav shows good takedown defense. Gregor Orlav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateo Rodriguez. Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches up with Orlav, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes Orlav against the cage but Orlav circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt #TD# so Orlav counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. #SUB# Orlav is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Orlav stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rodriguez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Orlav controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!#R3##TD# Orlav shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rodriguez napping and manages to drive through into side control! Rodriguez tries to get back to half guard but can't. Orlav is looking to take a break and control but Rodriguez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodriguez regains half guard.#T1# Rodriguez wants to control but Orlav is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rodriguez tries to roll over but Orlav keeps him under control. It looks like Orlav is going to stand back up.

Orlav feinted with a counter takedown.#T2# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rodriguez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rodriguez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Orlav circles away. And Orlav counters with a quick kick to the body but Rodriguez blocks it. Rodriguez with a lazy takedown attempt #TD# and Orlav counters with a shoot takedown. Rodriguez fights it but they end up in guard. Rodriguez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Orlav dives into side control.

Rodriguez defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. #SUB# Orlav has hold of Rodriguez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rodriguez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
#SUB# Orlav looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. #T3# Orlav controlling his opponent. Rodriguez is trying to escape the mount.
Orlav sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Orlav prevents Rodriguez from getting the reversal. Rodriguez is still trying to improve position. Rodriguez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!#SUB# Orlav throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rodriguez escapes and throws Orlav's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Gregor Orlav showed his dominance in that final round. Well Orlav has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
