Dennis sitting and controlling from the half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peterson can do anything to dispel that myth. Dennis tries to pass to full mount but Peterson defends it. Peterson is refusing to be controlled, as Dennis sits in half guard. Peterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dennis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dennis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Peterson taking some punishment here, with Dennis in his half guard. Peterson is trying to maintain the position but Dennis is very close to passing his half guard.#T1# Dennis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
