A swing and a miss from Skwat. Skwat swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rocha feinted there with a counter leg kick. Skwat throws out a loose jab but Rocha uses good head movement to avoid it. Rocha fires out a quick counter leg kick but Skwat just manages to avoid it. Skwat fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rocha on the side of the head.#CUT2#It looks like Jorge Rocha has been cut. Skwat throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rocha moves out of range of the body kick from Skwat.
Rocha lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. A low kick from Skwat is predictable there #TD# and Rocha counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rocha defends it easily.#SUB2# Rocha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocha looking to sit in guard and control but Berishvili gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR##T1# Berishvili wants to pass the guard but Rocha is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berishvili slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rocha has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Blankenship looks to score with a jab to the body but Rocha is just out of range. Blankenship tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rocha manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rocha is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Good shot there by Blankenship. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bulken tries to buck Rocha off but he can't manage it. Bulken told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.#SUB# Rocha jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bulken is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bulken and Rocha has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
