#R1# Ishida shoots in for a takedown but Scout shows good takedown defense. Scout fails with the takedown.#TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Scout enables Ishida to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Scout manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB2# Ishida drops back, looking for a kneebar! Scout looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Scout looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Scout! #REVR# Ishida manages to work his way to half guard, despite Scout's best efforts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ishida is staying active underneath Scout, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scout wants to pass to mount but Ishida is defending the position. #T1##SUB2# Ishida has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Scout. Oh but Ishida has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Scout goes limp - he's gone! Ishida jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Mitsuhiro Ishida! |
