It looked like Ervin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Volarus lands with an uppercut that bounces Ervin off the cage and back into range. Volarus scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ervin moves out of range of the strikes. Volarus misses with an uppercut. Ervin saw that one coming. Ervin went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volarus lands a head shot. Volarus jabbing away but nothing is landing. It looked like Ervin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Volarus misses with a body shot.

The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ervin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Volarus throws a hook but Ervin avoids it easily. Volarus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ervin's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ervin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Volarus closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Ervin! Volarus dives in looking to finish! Ervin is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bash tries for a takedown but Ervin circles away easily and Ervin counters with a series of strikes. Bash will be more careful next time no doubt. Trent Bash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bash doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ervin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bash could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ervin leaves Bash with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ervin unleashes a big counter combination but Bash bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trent Bash. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bash shoots in but Ervin avoids the takedown attempt easily.#T1# Bash misses with a takedown and Ervin counters with a stiff right hand. #TD# Bash is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ervin's half guard.#ES2# Ervin manages to escape and get back to his feet! Bash looks for a takedown but Ervin sprawls well. Ervin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#T2# Bash with a lazy takedown attempt and Ervin counters with a right hand to the body. Bash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ervin tries to avoid it but Bash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ervin to the ground. Ervin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bash has his takedown stuffed and Ervin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bash with a poor takedown and Ervin counters with a left and a right that stings Bash. #T3# Ervin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ervin wants it to stay on the feet. Bash misses with a takedown attempt and Ervin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Abud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ervin circles away quickly and effectively. Abud sets himself, and Ervin steps forward looking for the clinch! Abud avoids it this time. Abud rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

#SUB# Bones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Bones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ervin has momentary wrist control but Bones slips an elbow through the middle.#T1# Ervin wants to improve his position but instead Bones has moved into half guard.
Ervin has hold of Bones's hands but Bones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bones tries to stand and escape but Ervin is controlling the position. Bones slows the pace down in half guard. Bones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Bones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #T2# Bones tries to stand but can't do so whilst Ervin controls his leg. #SUB# Bones wants to work for an arm triangle but Ervin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
