Tyson sprawls well initially but Holmberg persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tyson pushes Holmberg off and gets back to his feet. Holmberg shoots in but no luck this time. Tyson staying out of range there. Tyson misses with a telegraphed body shot
#TD2# and Holmberg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tyson pushes Holmberg off and scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Holmberg throws a big shot that misses. Holmberg throws out a loose jab but Tyson uses good head movement to avoid it. Holmberg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Holmberg somewhat. Mick Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Holmberg. Holmberg tries to work over Tyson's front leg with a kick but Tyson checks it. No luck for Holmberg with that takedown attempt. #T1# Holmberg looks to throw the jab but Tyson is out of range. #TD2# Holmberg drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tyson's coaches at Räkälä have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Tyson struggling a bit here. #R1##TD# Holmberg drives through with a takedown into Slamister's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Holmberg won't allow Slamister to sweep him here. Slamister manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Holmberg manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVB# Holmberg thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Holmberg controlling the position. Slamister trying to control the position from guard on top but Holmberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slamister looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Holmberg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Holmberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slamister's guard. #REVR# Slamister is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. #R1##TD2# Holmberg shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chongching napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chongching throws Holmberg to one side and escapes! We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Holmberg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Holmberg falls off balance throwing a combination
and Chongching makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Chongching avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice straight punches there by Holmberg. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Holmberg. Chongching avoids the body shot from Holmberg.
We've been told by Chongching's head coaches at Sydney Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! Holmberg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Camacho moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Camacho takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Camacho showed some decent athleticism there. Holmberg landing rabbit punches to the side of Camacho's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Camacho looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Camacho tries to pass the half guard into mount. Holmberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. My spies in The Tank Factory inform me that Holmberg has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Holmberg is working McCarthy over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #SUB2# McCarthy pushes a forearm under Holmberg's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Holmberg is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

#R1# Holmberg stuffs the takedown. Holmberg appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Holmberg throws out a loose jab but Battleaxe uses good head movement to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Battleaxe. Holmberg feinted with a counter takedown. Mon Battleaxe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD# Holmberg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Holmberg working the head and body with strikes. Holmberg landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battleaxe wants to improve his position but Holmberg is controlling well.
