Nice takedown defense from Striking. No joy for Melps on that attempt.
Striking connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Striking scores with a jab to the jaw.
Melps closes the distance and clinches up with Striking, looking for a takedown. Melps pushes Striking against the cage but Striking circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Striking looks to throw the jab but Melps is out of range.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phichael Melps. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Melps shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Striking as he avoids it easily.
Striking wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Striking stuffs the takedown attempt from Melps. Melps gets slowly back to his feet.
Melps shoots for a double leg takedown but Striking sprawls well. He's pushed Melps's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rojas wants to get back to his feet.
Melps working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've been hearing that Melps has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
