He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Magomedsharipov working the ground and pound. Magomedsharipov controls the position. Grappling missing with the ground and pound from half guard. #ES2# Kish has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Grappling is on him like a limpet, forcing Kish back against the cage. Kish tries to work over Grappling's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kish lands with a left to the head. Kish lands a right hand that snaps the head of Grappling backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Grappling is looking for a takedown. A short right from Kish on the inside. Kish lands with a light punch inside. Grappling looking for a takedown. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kish takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A head punch on the inside from Kish fails to land. #T1# Kish takes a shot to the head. Grappling tries a body shot but Kish blocks it.

I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

I feel like you feel once you find a dark corner to count the money you got from that 7-11 after pointing a squirt gun in their face. Like an inner city democrat. I mean... like a criminal.

Grappling has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Anders. Anders defending well as Grappling loads up on a big left hand. Anders chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Anders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grappling doesn't manage to clinch there - Anders circles away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anders steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grappling. Grappling throws a wild combination but nothing lands. As Grappling backs off Some throws a huge counter combo but Grappling manages to avoid it all. Sloppy strikes from Some. Grappling shoots for a double leg takedown but Kaji sprawls well. He's pushed Grappling's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Grappling. Garuda Kaji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Old Grappling. Horrible takedown attempt by Grappling or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaji, which made it look bad. Grappling shoots for a takedown but Kaji saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kaji lands a nice hook to Grappling's body. Grappling takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Kaji tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grappling was well out of range. Poor timing from Kaji. Kaji keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It's a bit of a token attempt though and Grappling regains control of the situation pretty easily.
