Kimura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cross circles away quickly and effectively.
Cross is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kimura .
Cross uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kimura .
Cross is looking to counter the offense by Kimura and move into the clinch.
Kimura scores with a hook to the body. Cross takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cross is stalling in the full guard.
Kimura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kimura wants to improve his position but Cross is controlling well.

Kimura is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kimura digs a good hook to Cross's body.
Cross tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kimura sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cross somewhat.

Lane Cross overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB#
Cross drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cross seems to have locked his on tight now - Kimura screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cross, as he picks up the win!

Cross moves out of range as Igwe strikes.
Cross has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Igwe finds it's way round the side to connect with Cross's head.
Igwe misses with an uppercut. Cross saw that one coming.
Igwe throws a hook to the side of Cross's head but Cross sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cross tries to clinch but Igwe moves away #KD#
and Igwe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Cross! Igwe lets Cross back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#CUT#It looks like Lane Cross has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slow jab from Igwe misses its intended target.
BAM! Igwe delivers a spinning backfist that drops Cross like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
