We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montero can do anything to dispel that myth.
Montero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McClain wants to control from the top but Montero keeps moving. #T1#

Montero is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McClain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Montero pounces like a tiger and cracks McClain with a vicious hook! McClain is down but not out! Montero follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Gan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McClain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McClain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McClain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
