Barrel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Metzelder tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barrel is in Metzelder's guard.
Barrel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Metzelder's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Metzelder fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lamb looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Metzelder scores with a jab.

Metzelder lands with a hook. Lamb tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lamb takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lamb looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Metzelder is fending him off so far but Lamb persists. Nope, Metzelder circles away and we're back to standing.#TD#

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mitchell Lamb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Metzelder is pressed up against the cage. Lamb has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Metzelder down to the mat. Metzelder avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
