Choi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joao Miyao. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miyao goes for a double leg but Choi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Choi continues to drive forward. Choi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Samaras lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. I was talking to Samaras's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Sanchez tries to clinch up and Choi counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanchez throws a left and a right that both miss
and Choi comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Sanchez stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Choi is on him like rabid pit bull! Sanchez slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Choi misses with a left hand and Kitahachi counters with a lovely shot to the body. A big left from Kitahachi misses. Kitahachi connects with a nice looking jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Choi is holding his hands too far apart here. Choi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Winner. Choi unleashes a big counter combination but Winner bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Winner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choi swats away the attempt to clinch by Winner. Choi doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Choi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bernard on the ground. Bernard is working Choi over with some ground and pound from side control. Bernard scoring with punches and elbows. Bernard prevents Choi from escaping the position. Choi seems a little lost for a moment, as Bernard dominates the positioning.
