Torres lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Torres throws a lazy right hand but Fontaine sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Torres lands the left hand. Torres clobbers Fontaine with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Fontaine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.#KD# Torres lands a big shot that drops Fontaine! Can he finish him?

#R1##TD# Excellent takedown into side control there by Gamboa. Gamboa tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Gamboa in side control lands a decent elbow. Fontaine managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gamboa.
Gamboa looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Fontaine is avoiding damage well.
Gamboa cracks Fontaine with a big right hand but Fontaine just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gamboa cracks Fontaine with a big right hand but Fontaine just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Gamboa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fontaine is trying to escape the position but Gamboa is controlling the position. Fontaine dodges the ground and pound from Gamboa. An elbow from Gamboa crashes against the mat.
Gamboa just content to control the position. Gamboa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Gamboa scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. It connects and Fontaine has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Blachowicz shoots in for a takedown but Fontaine shows good takedown defense. #TD# Fontaine manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Blachowicz on his heels. He'll look to pass Blachowicz's guard now, I'm sure.#SUB# Fontaine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fontaine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Calhoun is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Fontaine passes Calhoun's left leg - he's now in half guard. Calhoun trying to control but Fontaine postures up.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fontaine tries to clinch up. Fontaine closes the distance and clinches up with McLaughlin, looking for a takedown. Fontaine pushes McLaughlin against the ropes but McLaughlin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fontaine is looking to clinch but McLaughlin is avoiding it.
McLaughlin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. McLaughlin misses with a wild body shot. Fontaine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McLaughlin.
Fontaine tries to bum rush McLaughlin with a series of wild strikes but McLaughlin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fontaine bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fontaine throwing a counter right hand but McLaughlin manages to avoid it. Fontaine looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McLaughlin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Fontaine won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Johnson being controlled here, momentarily. Fontaine's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
