Klepper loads up on a big right hand but Bitok slips the punch. As Klepper looks to move away, Bitok throws a big counter combo but Klepper just gets out of the way. Klepper misses with a hook. Bitok ducked under it nicely. #CL2# Klepper clinches up against the cage. Klepper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bitok is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bitok drops down looking for an ankle pick but Klepper pulls his leg out and moves away.
Klepper misses with a hook. Bitok ducked under it nicely. Bitok throws a quick counter kick to the body but Klepper avoids it. It looked like Bitok was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Klepper. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Klepper has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nucombe. Nucombe is trying to escape the mount.
