#R1##TD2# Onana closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Surz's guard. Onana postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Onana content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Onana is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Surz is trying to keep Onana in close.
Onana works a leg free and moves into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Surz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Surz wants to control but Onana is keeping busy and won't allow it. Onana working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #T1# Onana prevents Surz from improving his position. Onana stalling. Onana working over Surz with some ground and pound. Surz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.#SUB2# Surz is trying to control Onana's posture. Onana takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Surz! Onana is rotating here... this could be the end... Surz is out! Onana has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!

After the fight, Andre Onana was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |
