Man is trying to buck Nurmagomedov off.#SUB2# Nurmagomedov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #SUB2# Nurmagomedov tries for a kimura but Man is defending well. Man is trying to get back to his feet. Nurmagomedov scores with a couple of short elbows.#SUB2# Nurmagomedov tries for a kimura but Man is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nurmagomedov trying to control the action but Man is working from the bottom. #SUB2# Nurmagomedov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man has escaped the position, nice work there. Man wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!#T1# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nurmagomedov landing strikes. Man tries to bum rush Nurmagomedov with a series of wild strikes but Nurmagomedov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nurmagomedov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Man scores to the head and body with a nice combination!#CUT#It looks like Jerkmeoff Nurmagomedov has been cut. Man will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
#TD2# Nurmagomedov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Man was covering up waiting for the punch and Nurmagomedov finishes the takedown easily into guard. #T3# Nurmagomedov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Man wants to stand and escape but Nurmagomedov is having none of it. #SUB2# Nurmagomedov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Man is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Man has escaped and now he's on top! #REVR# Nurmagomedov striking off his back but it's not causing Man any problems. Man won't allow Nurmagomedov to sweep him here. Man is pushing down on Nurmagomedov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nurmagomedov is fighting to maintain full guard but Man has managed to sneak the leg through. Nurmagomedov is refusing to be controlled, as Man sits in half guard. #SUB# Man is looking for a kimura here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nurmagomedov can do anything to dispel that myth.
