#R1# Jones tries to land a front kick but Popinski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Popinski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones misses with a low kick. It looked like Popinski wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Popinski looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Popinski slips under a jab from Jones. Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Jones dives in and grabs Popinski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Popinski pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Popinski avoids a kick to the body.
#TD2# Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Popinski napping and manages to drive through into side control! Popinski wants to control but Jones postures up. The strikes coming from Jones are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Calloway changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Popinski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Popinski there as he acknowledges the shot. Popinski scores with a nice strike.#CUT#It looks like Jim Calloway has been cut. Calloway has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. An inside leg kick lands from Calloway. Calloway lands with an uppercut that bounces Popinski off the cage and back into range. Calloway connects with a right hand. Popinski shakes it off. Calloway staying out of range there. Calloway changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
