and Leary counters with a nice uppercut. Takehiko tries to clinch up but Leary circles away and keeps his distance. A counter left hand to the body from Leary misses its target. Leary on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Takehiko. Takehiko obviously looking to wear him down.

We've been told by Klasson's head coaches at The Tank Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Leary bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Leary pulls Souza in close to his closed guard and prevents Souza from doing any damage or advancing position. Souza throwing strikes from guard but Leary blocks nicely. Souza looking to sit in guard and control but Leary gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Souza bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Leary's guard. #REVB# We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Souza works over Leary with some ground and pound from guard. Souza trying to control the position from guard on top but Leary is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Souza in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Souza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Souza being controlled here momentarily. #T1# Souza throws an elbow that misses. Leary uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Souza's guard.
