Jokinen has been working on his boxing with his coaches at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies in the buildup to the fight. Jokinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ugonoh. Ugonoh misses with a looping left. Jokinen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ugonoh manages to avoid it. Ugonoh doesn't manage to clinch there - Jokinen circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ugonoh. Ugonoh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jokinen. Ugonoh tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jokinen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Knox on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ugonoh wants to control but Knox is keeping him busy. Knox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Knox is looking to control Ugonoh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knox avoid being mounted? Knox wants to improve his position but Ugonoh is controlling well.

It looks like Ugonoh might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Ugonoh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Ugonoh moves into full mount! Arcus won't be happy about that! Arcus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ugonoh sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
