Phintanilyo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Phintanilyo darts in trying to clinch#TD# so Ellis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Phintanilyo wriggles free and stands up. Droga Phintanilyo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ellis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Phintanilyo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. #TD# Ellis drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ellis postures up and lands a big shot to Phintanilyo's brow. Ellis advances to half guard. #R1##TD# Ellis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.#SUB# Ellis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stoice sees it coming and defends easily. Ellis is looking to take a break and control but Stoice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stoice controlling the position for now. Stoice felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Stoice on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ellis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stoice works his way to full guard. Good work. Stoice avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stoice not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Velasquez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Velasquez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.#KD# Velasquez drops Ellis with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ellis looks back up at him and smiles so Velasquez waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
#ROC#Ellis is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Ellis will be OK.

#R1# Ellis slips a jab from Herpes. Horrible takedown attempt by Ellis or perhaps it was just good defense by Herpes, which made it look bad. Herpes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Herpes looks to throw the jab but Ellis is out of range. Ellis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Herpes throws the left hand but Ellis avoids the punch easily. Ellis feints the counter takedown. Ellis with a lazy takedown attempt and Herpes counters with a stiff right hand. Space Herpes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinton Ellis. Herpes scores with a jab. Ellis acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Ellis tries to grapple but his opponent circles #KD# and Herpes counters with a nice right hand that sends Ellis toppling to the canvas! Ellis scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Herpes finish him?!#ROC#Ellis is rocked! Herpes seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ellis fails with the takedown and Herpes rattles Ellis with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Ellis tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Herpes dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Ellis stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ellis shoots in for a double leg but Haggard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Haggard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton Ellis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ellis throws a jab when Haggard was well out of range. Ellis drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A head kick misses from Haggard. Ellis fails with the takedown. Haggard throws a head kick that misses. Cannon avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Cannon scores with a jab to the jaw. Ellis on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
