The crowd cheers as Haalvisto lands an impressive looking overhand right. Salad doesn't seem phased though.
Salad ducks under a wild hook from Haalvisto.
Haalvisto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Salad jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Haalvisto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salad.
Salad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Haalvisto stalks Salad and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Salad's face. Salad staggers backwards, shaken.
Haalvisto avoids the head kick by Salad.

Salad drops Haalvisto with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Haalvisto looks back up at him and smiles so Salad waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Salad lands a brutal uppercut that launches Haalvisto off his feet! Haalvisto tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tater Salad!
A relieved looking Tater Salad thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
