Balrog takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carp fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Balrog ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Balrog has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Carp looks to land a left hand but Balrog moved out of range nicely.
Carp bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Balrog's head.
Balrog shoots and misses
and Carp counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carp cracks a nice hook into Balrog's ribs.

Deshpande is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.#SUB#

Balrog working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Deshpande looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out!
