Shipley lands with a short head shot on the inside. Shipley lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Shipley pushes Pitstain back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A short right from Shipley on the inside. Shipley lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Pitstain throws a right and a left that Ruiz avoids nicely. A little jabbing left from Ruiz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pitstain throws a sloppy head kick and Ruiz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Pitstain misses with a double jab.

Ruiz has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pitstain is landing a low percentage of strikes. Piekny moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pitstain prevents Piekny from moving into mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pitstain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Piekny is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boran wants to take a breather but Pitstain is having none of it. Boran lands strikes from half guard. Boran is pressing down on Pitstain's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pitstain is holding on for now. Boran passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pitstain! Pitstain in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Boran trying to control but Pitstain is having none of it. Pitstain's coaches at Shut Up & Train! have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. The referee warns Pitstain that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

#R1# Pitstain thows a leg kick but Krinov checks it #TD# and Krinov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pitstain's guard.#SUB# Krinov drops back looking for a leg! Pitstain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pitstain manages to kick Krinov off! Krinov jumps back into Pitstain's guard. #SU# Krinov stands up and waves to Pitstain to follow him. Pitstain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Krinov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A jab from Pitstain does it's job there. Horrible takedown attempt by Krinov or perhaps it was just good defense by Pitstain, which made it look bad. As Krinov backs off Pitstain throws a huge counter combo but Krinov manages to avoid it all. Krinov avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pitstain throws a combination that misses #TD# so Krinov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pitstain looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Krinov wants to control from the top but Pitstain keeps moving. Krinov is in close to Pitstain's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've been hearing that Krinov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.#T1# Krinov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Krinov distracts Pitstain with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Krinov trying to control but Pitstain is working from the bottom. Pitstain is looking to stand up but Krinov isn't so interested in that idea. #SUB# Krinov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Krinov is standing up over Pitstain. Pitstain looks to escape but Krinov dives into side control.
Krinov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.#T2# Krinov scores with a couple of short elbows.#SUB# Krinov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #SUB# Krinov is working to tighten his grip on Pitstain's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pitstain has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Krinov is really squeezing tight and eventually Pitstain passes out! Krinov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

#R1# Pitstain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
