#R1# Reyes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ricky Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Rocha. No joy for Reyes on that attempt. Rocha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reyes was well out of range. Poor timing from Rocha. A decent looking cross lands there for Reyes. #R1# Banner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Banner cracks Rocha with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Banner avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Banner swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Rocha shoots in and drives through. Banner sprawls well. Bentley Rocha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Banner as Rocha shoots in. Rocha moves forwards but Banner connects with a nice, crisp jab. Rocha slips under a jab from Banner. Rocha dives in and grabs Banner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Banner pushes down on Rocha's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bentley Rocha. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rocha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Banner was well out of range. Song could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rocha connects with a nice short shot to Song's temple. #SUB2# Rocha is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lopes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lopes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rocha controls the pace. Rocha has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
