#R1# Mirkovic throws a jab but it's blocked by Correia. Correia tries to work over Mirkovic's front leg with a kick but Mirkovic checks it. Mirkovic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A nice leg kick lands there from Correia. Mirkovic throws a predictable looking body shot
and Correia counters with a thumping low kick. A combination from Correia does no damage. Correia has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Correia throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Mirkovic counters with a stiff right hand. Mirkovic avoids the head kick by Correia.
Mirkovic seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Mirkovic showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Correia.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An inside leg kick from Correia misses. Correia connects with a high kick. #CUT2#It looks like Filipo Mirkovic has been cut. Correia misses with a wild body shot. Correia misses with a two punch combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mirkovic throws a solid leg kick but Correia takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mirkovic.#T1# Mirkovic throws a leg kick which misses Correia's front leg but catches the back leg as Correia tries to avoid it. Correia looks like he wants to counter punch here. Correia takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mirkovic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mirkovic lands an overhand right. Correia throws a low kick, looking for Mirkovic's leg but Mirkovic calmly moves out of range. Correia thows a leg kick but Mirkovic checks it and Mirkovic counters with a lovely straight right hand! Correia thuds a left hand into Mirkovic's body. Correia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mirkovic throws out the jab. Correia swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Correia thows a leg kick but Mirkovic checks it and Mirkovic counters with a big right hand! Oh Correia is in trouble here! Mirkovic follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Santos checks a low kick from Correia. Santos ducks under a wild hook from Correia.#CL2# Santos closes the distance and clinches. Santos is trying to push Correia away but Correia has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC# Correia manages to break the clinch.
Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Correia circles away quickly and effectively. Santos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Correia throws a body shot but no joy. Santos is looking for the big counter here. Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Santos has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Correia is defending well for now.#T1##BC2# Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Correia throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Correia has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Tea Time Takedowns in the buildup to the fight.#KD# Correia drops Santos with a beautiful combination! Santos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Correia is looking for the KO!#CUT#It looks like Giovanni Santos has been cut. Correia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Correia listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Correia misses with a straight left. Santos lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Correia fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Santos checks it well. A nice side step and Santos releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Correia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santos counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Santos walks straight into a right hand from Correia - that's dropped him! Correia jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Santos from any more punishment! Santos complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Logan Correia! After the fight, Logan Correia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. |

#R1# Haalfson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT#It looks like Logan Correia has been cut. Haalfson misses with the combination.
Correia feints and then cracks Haalfson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Haalfson down. Haalfson throws a lazy head kick and Correia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Correia throws a quick inside leg kick. Correia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Correia avoids the head kick by Haalfson.
Correia thinks about the counter body kick. Correia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haalfson was well out of range. Poor timing from Correia. Correia throws a leg kick that misses. Correia misses with a double jab
and Haalfson counters with a good low kick that Correia was not able to check. Bjorn Haalfson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Haalfson misses. A little jabbing left from Correia on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Correia pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Haalfson scores with a nice head shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A chopping leg kick lands by Haalfson. #CL2# Haalfson gets tackled into the cage by Correia. Correia maintains the clinch. Correia cracks Haalfson with a nice body shot.#T1# Haalfson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Correia is trying to force a seperation but Haalfson has the dominant position. Correia lands a left hand that snaps the head of Haalfson backwards. Correia lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Correia. Correia wants to break the clinch but can't.
#BC2# Correia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #KD2# Correia drops Haalfson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Haalfson looks back up at him and smiles so Correia waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Correia is stalking Haalfson. Haalfson circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Correia, and it's lights out! Haalfson really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
