Laks wants to control but Blanchard postures up. Laks manages to get back to half guard. Blanchard missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Laks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Laks. Laks managing to control the position. Blanchard connects with a couple of short punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blanchard working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Blanchard lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.#T1# Blanchard content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laks is adopting a defensive guard. Laks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blanchard is one step ahead there. #KD2# Puto lands a left and a right that send Blanchard crashing to the mat, dazed. Puto thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2#Blanchard is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Puto pounces like a tiger and cracks Blanchard with a vicious hook! Blanchard is down but not out! Puto follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Velikan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Blanchard lands with a punch from half guard. Blanchard is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Blanchard seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Velikan is trying to maintain the position but Blanchard is very close to passing his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velikan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Blanchard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
