"I don't think so" says Joki as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Joki, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bones Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Joki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Joki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jones shoots for a takedown but Joki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Joki throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it. Joki has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Nice takedown defense from Joki. No joy for Jones on that attempt. Joki pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Bones Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Joki. Joki looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Joki's waist but Joki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Joki swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Joki getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Joki misses the jab. Joki looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range. Jones has his takedown stuffed enabling Joki to counter with a crisp jab. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones is staying active underneath Joki, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Joki might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Joki is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is not content to let Joki control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jones with a poor takedown and Joki counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones goes for a double leg but Joki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Joki continues to drive forward.#BC# Jones manages to break the clinch.
Joki uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Joki defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Joki defends well and Jones ends up having to push Joki into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Joki is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Jones takes a shot to the head. Jones working hard to break the clinch. Joki gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Joki has him pressed against the cage. #T1##BC# Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Joki has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Joki lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily. Jones tries for a takedown but Joki circles away easily letting Joki counter with a right hand. Jones has his takedown stuffed and Joki counters with a huge left! Jones is in big trouble! He's backing up but Joki isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Jones from any more damage. A dominating finish by Joki!

#R1# Joki throws a hook to the side of Petric's head but Petric sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Petric has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Joki. Joki throws a shot from downtown. Petric moves away and avoids it. Joki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Joki avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Petric looks to land a left hand but Joki moved out of range nicely. Joki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Joki throws a leg kick enabling Petric to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petric on the wrong end of a nice hook. Petric definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Joki lands a head shot. Petric takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.#T1# Joki throws the left hand but Petric avoids the punch easily. Petric swings widly with a right hand

Rodriguez has his takedown stuffed and Joki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joki dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Joki fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rodriguez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joki pinned against the cage. Joki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joki bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rodriguez's head. Rodriguez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.#T1# Rodriguez fails with a takedown attempt. Irwin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Joki throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Irwin on the side of the head. Joki lands a jab to the head.
Joki connects with a crisp jab. Joki lands with a straight right. Irwin didn't see that one coming. Joki lands an overhand right. Irwin thows a body kick. Joki tries to catch it but that hurt him. Shawn Irwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Irwin wants to clinch and Joki makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
