Brabec clobbers Barbosa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A jab from Brabec finds it's way through Barbosa's defenses.
Brabec throws a hook but Barbosa blocks it.
Barbosa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brabec was well out of range. Poor timing from Barbosa.
It seemed like Brabec was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Barbosa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brabec is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mercado connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Brabec misses with a lunging right hand
and Mercado counters with a straight right hand.
Mercado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mercado circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Brabec to the canvas! Brabec doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Mercado keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Claude closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Claude connects with a nice short shot to Brabec's temple.
Claude not doing much here.
Claude drops an elbow to the side of Brabec's head.

Claude looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brabec with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
