Yamato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Do Mato sprawls well initially but Yamato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Yamato looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Do Mato makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Do Mato.
Yamato wants to get up but he can't break Do Mato's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Do Mato bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yamato's guard. #REVR#
