Rank controls from within his opponent's guard.
Junior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rank tries to free his leg and advance position but Junior is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Junior tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rank cranks the arm and Junior screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Junior, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roderick Gardner.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Whack! Jackson lands a heavy head kick that drops Junior. The ref tackles Jackson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Junior was done.
