#R1# Marks doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Marks looks to land a left hand but Shango moved out of range nicely. Marks takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Marks let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Marks thows a left - swing and a miss! Shango appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shango closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marks circles away. Shango shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marks pinned against the cage. Marks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Marks throws a body punch but Shango moves out of range. Shango slips under a jab. Marks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shango under the eye.#CUT2#It looks like Papa Shango has been cut. Marks pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shango misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marks lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Marks thows a left - swing and a miss! Shango pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shango shoots in for a takedown but Marks shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Papa Shango. That's going to take a lot out of him. Marks circles away from the clinch attempt.
#T1# Shango fails in his attempt to clinch. Marks looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shango tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shango moves out of range as Marks strikes. Marks bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.#CUT2#Papa Shango's cut is getting worse. Shango shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marks but Marks pushes him off and we're back to square one. Marks cracks Shango on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Shango falls backwards against the cage. Marks follows up with more strikes that drop Shango to his knees. Marks keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Shango! This one is all over!
